Once you have created the template in your master project, you can either clone it or save it as an individual plan.
Clone Template
Cloning allows you to create an exact copy of the template. You can modify the settings and choose to clone it within the same or to a different project that has the Playbook feature enabled.
To clone the template, click "Clone Template" at the top right corner of the matrix view.
A window will open prompting you to select the project to which you would like to clone the template, as well as to enter a unique 4-character code for the new template plan. Once you have made your selections, click "Update".
Save as an Individual Plan
Please note that you can only save the template as a single plan for a different project; you cannot save it within the same project where the template is originally stored.
To save as an individual plan, click "Save as" at the top right corner of the matrix view.
A window will open where you will need to select the project in which you want to save the plan and enter a 4-character code for the plan. This code must be unique within your workspace. It will help you identify and search for the plan, as well as generate reports related to it. Additionally, it will serve as the basis for autogenerated codes for each task within the plan. For example, if you name your plan P001, each task inside this plan will be labeled as follows: P001-1, P001-2, P001-3, and so on.
Finally, set up the start date and click "Update".
a. You can not save plan instances inside the same project as a template, so if you are not able to see any project listed, it means you don't have the Playbook feature enabled for any other project. Please contact your Project Administrator or reach out to support@asite.com to set it up.
