Introduction to Asite Playbook

Playbook provides a tool to manage the timing and delivery of project information from start to finish. It helps share and process information for various tasks, whether related to a design, building maintenance, handover, procurement, or any sequence of tasks involving multiple people across different organizations or within one organization.

Playbook allows you to set plans, assign a set of responsibilities and milestones for every information deliverable, and easily track the progress across your projects. What is more, it keeps stakeholders aligned, minimizes delays, and helps directors, information managers, project managers, and task managers handle information intuitively and efficiently.

Playbook helps you create plans, which are broken down into logical steps using columns and rows. These rows can be organized by responsible areas or logical boundaries for common work. This flexible structure allows you to use rows for Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs), disciplines like mechanical or architecture, geographical areas, or even properties for house builders. Multiple plans can be assigned to a single project.

Playbook enhances the Common Data Environment (CDE) by making finding documents and managing tasks easier. Instead of navigating through numerous folders, you can quickly locate documents and tasks. Playbook also allows viewing deliverables in a matrix that can be expanded for more detail. Information can be organized by plan, project, and organization, and tasks can be viewed in a list, calendar, board, or timeline formats, with dashboards providing role-specific information.
